George Gerapetritis holds diplomatic talks with Egypt and US officials
Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis has engaged in high-level diplomatic communications with his counterparts in Egypt and the United States to discuss regional stability and strategic cooperation.
In a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, the two officials exchanged views on developments in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. The discussion focused on advancing their bilateral Strategic Relationship and increasing coordination on regional security. This communication follows the sixth anniversary of the agreement on the delimitation of the Greek-Egyptian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
Additionally, Gerapetritis held a call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The conversation emphasized the depth of Greece-US strategic relations and Greece’s role as a regional pillar of peace. Key topics included the upcoming sixth round of the Greece-US Strategic Dialogue, developments in the Middle East regarding Iran, and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
