George Ilenikhena shines for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Pro League victory

George Ilenikhena recorded a goal and an assist to help Al-Ittihad secure a 4-1 victory over Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League. Ilenikhena opened the scoring in the 16th minute and later provided the assist for Houssem Aouar’s goal. Substitute Youssef En-Nesyri added two late goals to finalize the win.

Ilenikhena’s strong club form, consisting of seven goals and three assists in 11 appearances this season, is positioning him as a significant attacking option for the Nigerian national team. The 20-year-old, who recently made his debut for the Super Eagles, is being considered by manager Eric Chelle as Nigeria pursues qualification for AFCON 2027.
