George Martin orchestral Beatles albums to be reissued
Parlophone is reissuing three albums by George Martin & His Orchestra, featuring orchestral arrangements of Beatles songs. The release, scheduled for November 6, commemorates what would have been the 100th birthday of the legendary producer.
The reissues include the 1964 album Off The Beatle Track, the 1965 Help!, and the 1966 …And I Love Her. All three have been remastered from the original master tapes under the supervision of Martin’s son, Giles Martin.
In the United Kingdom, these albums will be available on CD for the first time. The 1964 Off The Beatle Track will also return to vinyl for the first time since 1988. The Help! reissue will feature liner notes by Beatles manager Brian Epstein and will use finalized song titles rather than the working titles used in the original 1965 American release. The 1966 album …And I Love Her includes Beatles tracks alongside covers of songs by artists such as The Rolling Stones and The Righteous Brothers.
