George Russell announces engagement to Carmen Montero Mundt

Mercedes Formula 1 driver George Russell has announced his engagement to longtime partner Carmen Montero Mundt. The couple shared the news via Instagram during the F1 summer break, posting romantic photographs of a proposal set against a scenic, candlelit seaside backdrop.

Montero Mundt, a Spanish-born entrepreneur and finance professional who also runs a skincare brand called Barriers, has been a frequent presence in the F1 paddock since the couple began dating in 2020. The engagement ring, which features a prominent oval-cut yellow diamond flanked by two white diamonds, has drawn significant attention, with experts estimating its value could reach up to $1 million.

The announcement has drawn congratulations from various figures within the motorsport community, including Russell’s Mercedes teammate Kimi Antonelli, as well as fellow drivers like Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly.
