George Santos joins Fox’s ‘Special Forces’ amid scrutiny

Former New York politician George Santos, who was sentenced to 87 months in prison for fraud and identity theft, is participating in the fifth season of Fox’s reality competition “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”

Santos noted that he expected an “uphill battle” due to his criminal history and the potential for cast members to avoid him for brand safety reasons. Despite initial cold introductions, he stated he built positive relationships with his co-stars, specifically praising Candace Cameron Bure as his favorite cast member.

Jovon “Q” Quarles, a former Navy SEAL and member of the show’s directing staff, compared Santos to “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval. Quarles remarked that both individuals lack accountability, stating, “They don’t hold themselves accountable,” when addressing their past actions.
