George Simion faces criticism in Bucharest and campaigns in Turda

George Simion, leader of the AUR party, has been the subject of both public criticism and political campaigning in Romania. In Bucharest, a message featuring Simion's image and the phrase ‘Te trădez și pe tine’ (I betray even you) appeared in the city center, which has been interpreted as a sign of disillusionment from former supporters.

Meanwhile, Simion held a meeting with AUR supporters in Turda. During his speech, he accused political opponents of attempting to imprison those who seek change in Romania. He characterized certain political actors as ‘occupiers’ who have hindered the country's development for 35 years and claimed that the current political climate seeks to suppress alternatives to the established leadership.
