George Springer faces the potential end of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays as his six-season, $150-million contract nears its conclusion. Following a wild-card elimination by the Baltimore Orioles, the veteran slugger expressed uncertainty regarding his future in Major League Baseball.

Springer, who has been a central figure for the franchise since signing in January 2021, noted that he has not yet decided whether he will continue playing. He expressed deep gratitude toward the organization and the fans, stating, “I don't know… I love this organization. I loved being a Blue Jay.”

The Blue Jays are scheduled to play their final games of the season against the Cincinnati Reds starting Friday night.
