Georgenthal Landfestival to host over 70 cultural events

The Landfestival in Georgenthal is scheduled to take place from September 17 to 20, 2026. The event aims to highlight the connection between humanity, culture, and nature through a diverse program of over 70 activities.

Key offerings include Thuringian dialect presentations, folklore, rock music, Baroque theater, and land art. The festival will feature thematic hikes, workshops such as yoga and woodcarving, and lectures on topics ranging from bionics to prehistoric life at the Bromacker excavation site. Highlights include a ‘Lichternacht’ (Night of Lights) at Hammerteich featuring light installations by artist Franziska Schnauß, a creative market, and family-oriented programs like the Dinosaur Festival.
