Georgetown Chamber of Commerce launches National Small Business Week 2026

The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has officially launched National Small Business Week (NSBW) 2026 in Guyana. Running from October 20 to 25 under the theme “Small Businesses, Big Opportunities,” the initiative is designed to enhance the capacity, competitiveness, and market access of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The week features business development workshops, networking events, a Founders’ Talk, and a two-day Expo at the Railway Courtyard in Georgetown. GCCI President Kathy Smith described MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy, emphasizing their role in driving employment and household livelihoods. Since its inception in 2022, the event has focused on providing entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and stronger business connections.
