Georgetown defeats Wake Forest 94-77 in basketball exhibition

Georgetown University defeated Wake Forest University 94-77 in a men’s basketball exhibition game held in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on October 4.

Georgetown’s performance was highlighted by strong three-point shooting, with seven players making at least one shot from beyond the arc. Junior guards Vyctorious Miller and Kayvaun Mulready each contributed five three-pointers. Junior center Chol Machot also had a notable performance, recording 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Wake Forest struggled with rebounding and perimeter defense, being outrebounded 38-25 and allowing Georgetown to shoot 55% from the three-point line. Despite forcing 22 turnovers, the Demon Deacons trailed by as much as 25 points during the scrimmage. Notable performances for Wake Forest included the Placide twins, Gavin and Gallagher, and Kansas transfer Jamari McDowell.
