Georgetown men's soccer defeats Evansville 3-2

No. 9 Georgetown University defeated the University of Evansville Purple Aces 3-2 in a men's soccer match at Shaw Field.

Evansville took an early lead in the fourth minute when Alejandro Fernandez scored following a cleared corner kick. Georgetown equalized in the 18th minute through a Jack Brown rebound. Evansville regained the lead early in the second half when Devin Shepherd scored off an assist from Fernandez, making the score 2-1.

Georgetown responded in the 65th minute with a goal from Jack Brown, who dribbled through traffic to tie the match. The Hoyas secured the victory in the 69th minute to take a 3-2 lead. With this result, Georgetown improves to a 7-1-1 record, while Evansville falls to 1-5-2 for the season.
