Georgi Konstantinov presents new poetry collection in Pleven

Writer and poet Georgi Konstantinov, an honorary citizen of Pleven, presented his latest poetry collection, “Poems for Bulgaria,” at the Katya Popova concert hall. The event, organized by the Pleven Municipality and the “Hristo Smirnenski” Regional Library, took place just two days after the book was printed.

The collection features poems written over various years, all centered on themes of love for Bulgaria. During the literary evening, Konstantinov read excerpts from his new work and his previous book, “Ballad for the Lower Desks.” The event included musical performances by bard Rumen Spasov and literary commentary from critic Lalka Pavlova and editor Levena Filcheva.

To honor his contributions to art and his connection to his roots, Deputy Mayor Paulina Kirova presented Konstantinov with an honorary plaque on behalf of the Pleven Municipality. The ceremony also recognized Oksana Tsvetanova, head of the Regional Library, for her efforts in enriching the city's spiritual life.
