Georgia average monthly salary rises to 2,389.3 GEL
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the average monthly nominal salary in Georgia increased by 8.0 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 2,389.3 GEL in the second quarter of 2026.
Regional leaders in average salary include Tbilisi and Mtskheta-Mtianeti, with Adjara ranking third. By sector, the highest salaries were recorded in information and communication (4,400.4 GEL), followed by financial and insurance activities (4,074.1 GEL), construction (3,496.6 GEL), and professional, scientific, and technical activities (3,304.8 GEL).
Gender-based data shows that the average salary for men was 2,856.4 GEL, while for women it was 1,927.0 GEL. In the business sector, the average monthly salary for employees rose by 6.6 percent to 2,471.5 GEL.
