Georgia Bulldogs defeat Charlotte 49ers in preseason basketball

The Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball team secured their second consecutive preseason victory with an 87-67 win over the Charlotte 49ers at Stegeman Coliseum. The Bulldogs' performance was characterized by high-volume perimeter shooting, making 17 of 33 attempts from three-point range.

Blue Cain led the scoring for Georgia with 14 points, while James Scott, Brady Dunlap, and Kareem Stagg each contributed double digits. Defensively, the Bulldogs utilized a full-court press and tight coverage, recording seven blocks and five steals.

Head coach Mike White noted that the team's shooting was a response to Charlotte's defensive strategy of protecting the rim. The Bulldogs are scheduled to play their next preseason game against the Clemson Tigers on October 23, followed by the start of the regular season on November 2.
