Georgia football defeats Vanderbilt 38-14

No. 2 Georgia defeated Vanderbilt 38-14 at Sanford Stadium, improving to 5-0 on the season. Quarterback Gunner Stockton led the Bulldogs' offense with 295 passing yards and three touchdowns, including a two-yard score to Landon Roldan.

Vanderbilt, playing with backup quarterback Blaze Berlowitz after freshman Jared Curtis was ruled out due to a knee bruise, provided early resistance. Berlowitz connected with Junior Sherrill for a 60-yard touchdown that tied the game 7-7 in the first quarter, marking the first time Georgia had been tied in the opening quarter this season.

Georgia regained control with rushing touchdowns from Chauncey Bowens and Jaden Redell before halftime. The Bulldogs' defense held Vanderbilt to just 61 offensive yards in the second half, aided by a season-first interception from Ellis Robinson IV. Georgia coach Kirby Smart noted the importance of the physical contest as the team prepares for a matchup against No. 7 Alabama.
