Georgia Bulldogs rise to top of college football rankings
The Georgia Bulldogs have ascended to the top of both the ESPN Football Power Index (FPI) and Kalshi’s National Championship market following a 4-0 start to the season. In the FPI rankings, Georgia holds a rating of 28.3, narrowly leading Notre Dame and Ohio State, who are tied at 27.8.
Georgia’s rise follows a dominant 41-13 victory over Oklahoma. The team currently ranks first in the SEC in both offense and defense, averaging 54.8 points per game while allowing only 13.3 points. Quarterback Gunner Stockton has been a key contributor, recording 754 passing yards and 10 touchdowns with a 74.3% completion rate.
On the Kalshi prediction market, Georgia has become the favorite to win the National Championship with a 15% probability, up from a preseason projection of 9%. Other top contenders in the market include Texas (14%), Ohio State (13%), Notre Dame (13%), and Miami (10%).
