Rick Jackson and Donald Trump rally in Georgia ahead of midterms
Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson and former President Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Perry, Georgia, as the state enters the final stretch of the midterm elections. The event served to support Jackson and U.S. Representative Mike Collins.
Jackson, a healthcare magnate who rose from foster care to billionaire status, is running against Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms. Jackson has utilized his personal history of poverty to appeal to working-class voters, while Bottoms has focused on mobilizing the Latino community and addressing healthcare and living costs.
In addition to the Perry rally, Jackson campaigned with Governor Brian Kemp in Cherokee County. The election, scheduled for November 3, is currently viewed as a tight race, with early voting numbers showing significant engagement across the state.
