Georgia elevator storage reaches 116,100 tons in Q2 2026

According to data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), 116,100 tons of products were stored in elevators across the country during the second quarter of 2026. Wheat represented 55.1% of this total volume.

During the April-June period, 29 elevators were operational in Georgia. The most active region for elevator operations was Kvemo Kartli, followed by Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Kakheti.

In terms of sales, elevators moved 69,400 tons of products worth 70.3 million GEL during the reporting period. Of these sales, 44.1% consisted of imported goods. Among locally produced items, wheat flour was the dominant product, accounting for 76.9% of sales by both volume and value.
