Georgia Hall returns to AIG Women's Open five months after maternity

British golfer Georgia Hall, 30, is set to compete in the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes, the venue where she captured the title in 2018. The tournament marks her first major appearance since giving birth to her son Conor in February 2026, returning to competition five months postpartum. After a six‑week break she resumed practice on a driving range in Ireland and completed a structured rehabilitation program covering pelvic‑floor work, strength and endurance training under the Ladies European Tour Performance Institute. Hall has since played three LET events and won the Jabra Ladies Open de France in May. She highlighted the physical toll of motherhood on elite athletes, urging governing bodies and sponsors to give greater recognition and support to returning mothers. Hall will be accompanied by her partner Paul Dunne and family, who are sharing childcare duties during the week‑long event.
