Jesse Allen Davis arrested for alleged vehicular assault in Georgia

Jesse Allen Davis, 21, has been arrested following an incident in Marietta, Georgia, where he allegedly attempted to strike a female jogger with his vehicle three separate times. The incident occurred on July 19 near the Sedgefield Apartments in Cobb County.

According to authorities, the victim had exchanged a brief, polite greeting with Davis before he allegedly entered his parked 2004 Nissan Sentra and accelerated toward her. After an initial attempt was interrupted by another driver, Davis allegedly pursued the woman toward Commons Lane, forcing her to seek cover behind a dumpster. During the encounter, Davis reportedly yelled profanities and made a third attempt to strike her before fleeing the scene.

In the process of the alleged attacks, Davis reportedly collided with a parked Ford Fusion and a pole. He faces charges of felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor hit-and-run. Davis is currently held in the Cobb County Jail on a $5,720 bond.
