Georgia mother killed in domestic dispute; suspect dies by suicide

A 35-year-old mother of three, Nicole Karastury Elliot, was shot and killed in Waverly Hall, Georgia, by her boyfriend, Andrew Roy Harris. According to Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley, the incident occurred on a Monday morning after Elliot returned home from dropping her children at school. Doorbell camera footage captured the confrontation, including Elliot pleading for her life.

The dispute reportedly began the previous night when Harris attempted to misuse her son's medication. Harris, who was out on bond for a prior domestic abuse charge, was located the following day at a Day's Inn in Phenix City, Alabama. As authorities approached to make an arrest, Harris died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Officials noted that the suspect appeared to have intended to force a ‘suicide by cop’ scenario.
