Georgia Resident Charged with Eight Child Exploitation Offenses

Jason Hicks, a 55‑year‑old man from Eatonton in Putnam County, Georgia, was arrested and charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of children. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit launched the investigation in May 2026 after receiving a Cyber Tipline report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children concerning possession of child sexual abuse material. A search warrant was executed at Hicks’s home, and he was subsequently booked into the Putnam County Jail. The investigation was supported by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Cyber Crime Center and is part of the nationwide Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a program created by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the online trade of abusive material.
