Georgia universities secure high rankings in U.S. News & World Report

Georgia's top universities have achieved significant placements in the U.S. News & World Report 2027 rankings. Georgia Tech rose to No. 29 among national universities and No. 6 among public national universities. The Institute saw a major improvement in value rankings, moving from No. 108 to No. 39 among Best Value Schools and debuting at No. 5 for in-state students.

Georgia Tech's engineering programs remain highly competitive, with its undergraduate engineering program tied for No. 2 nationally. Civil engineering reached the No. 1 position, while several other disciplines, including mechanical, aerospace, and chemical engineering, hold top-five rankings.

The University of Georgia (UGA) has maintained its position among the top 20 public universities for the 11th consecutive year, currently tied at No. 19. UGA is one of only two Georgia institutions to reach this tier. The university also received high marks for its Terry College of Business, including a No. 2 ranking for its insurance program and No. 5 for real estate.
