Georgia woman charged with murder in double shooting

A 76-year-old woman, Grace Edge, has been arrested and charged following a shooting in Toombs County, Georgia, that left two people dead and one injured. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at a residence on McNatt Falls Road in Uvalda.

Authorities identified the deceased as 75-year-old Wallace Truman Edge and 40-year-old Pamela Cook. A third victim, 55-year-old Diane Cook, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm. According to the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office, Grace Edge faces charges including two counts of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, and three counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators suggest the motive may have been related to the relationship between Wallace Edge and Pamela Cook. Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight noted that while Grace and Wallace had been divorced for over a decade, Grace reportedly did not accept his new relationship. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has joined the inquiry, though officials stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
