Georgian national charged in two separate Polish murders

A Georgian national, identified as Elnur A., is facing charges for two separate murders in Poland. He is accused of killing a Russian citizen in Biała Podlaska, a well-known caricaturist and satirist who was critical of Vladimir Putin. Investigators report that the victim was shot five times during the June incident.

Additionally, Elnur A. has been charged in connection with a murder that occurred in Warsaw in March 2022 on Krochmalna Street. Authorities suspect the motive for the Warsaw crime may have involved a contract killing or criminal settlements.

The suspect was apprehended at a hostel in Piastów, near Warsaw. He has denied the charges and refused to provide explanations. Prosecutors have requested a three-month detention to prevent him from fleeing or obstructing the ongoing investigations.
