Georgina Barbarossa recounts harassment by Jorge Porcel

Argentine television host Georgina Barbarossa has publicly recounted experiences of sexual harassment involving the late comedian Jorge Porcel. Speaking on the program SQP (América TV), Barbarossa described incidents where Porcel touched her without consent during the early stages of her career.

Barbarossa explained that she felt unable to leave her positions at the time due to severe financial difficulties she was facing with her then-husband, Miguel ‘Vasco’ Lecouna. She recalled one specific instance where she went to her dressing room crying after being touched in an ‘appalling’ manner. She noted that actress Carmen Vallejo provided support by standing beside her during sketches to protect her.

Barbarossa further stated that she had to return to work with Porcel in the program ‘Las gatitas y los ratones de Porcel’ while pregnant, again due to economic necessity. She described the experience as ‘bitter bread’ and alleged that the harassment continued even during her pregnancy. While noting she does not like speaking about deceased individuals, she expressed strong resentment toward the comedian regarding his past conduct.
