Rodriguez reacted to an Instagram post containing a quote attributed to Sir Alex Ferguson, which criticized the management of Ronaldo and his inclusion in the squad without guaranteed playing time. Rodriguez posted a sharp remark directed at the coach, stating, “I don’t understand how this man can be called Jesus.”

However, the quote attributed to Ferguson was found to be false. Although Rodriguez quickly deleted the comment after realizing the information was inaccurate, the incident has added to existing tensions between the Ronaldo camp and the national team leadership.
