The Mesara region, specifically the areas of Tympaki, Klima, and Faneromeni, is in mourning following the sudden death of Georgios Spanoudakis at the age of 56.
Spanoudakis, a greenhouse owner and farmer originally from Klima, was found unconscious in his home by his family during the early hours of Sunday. Despite immediate efforts, he could not be saved. He is remembered by the local community as a hardworking and social individual deeply connected to the primary sector of vegetable production.
He leaves behind his wife, Georgia Rigaki, three children, grandchildren, and extended family. As a mark of respect, several local cultural events, including a theatrical performance and an annual dance festival, have been canceled.
