Geotab launches new safety and investigation tools for fleets

Geotab, a provider of connected transport solutions, has introduced new safety features for fleet operations. The update includes ‘Geotab Investigations’, a tool designed to investigate and clarify traffic accidents and other incidents by centralizing information and evidence.

Additional features include enhancements for video-based driver coaching, a new safety overview page, and red-light violation detection. These tools aim to help fleet managers translate risk analysis into concrete actions and provide timely information to support drivers.

A Geotab survey indicated that 94 percent of German fleet managers believe the risk of traffic accidents has increased over the past five years. Fabian Seithel, AVP EMEA at Geotab, stated that the new functions help safety teams understand fleet activity and support drivers before risks escalate into accidents.
