Geppi Cucciari leaves Rai Radio 1 program Un giorno da pecora

Geppi Cucciari is leaving the Rai Radio 1 program ‘Un giorno da pecora’ after 11 years. The presenter announced her departure via social media, noting that the decision was based on ‘editorial reasons’ rather than personal choice.

Cucciari explained that while she had previously been able to host parts of the season from Milan to accommodate her other commitments, such as ‘Splendida Cornice’ on Rai 3, Rai management decided they required a host available in person throughout the entire year.

Nancy Brilli will succeed Cucciari as the permanent host. Brilli had previously served as a temporary replacement during Cucciari’s absences for film projects. Cucciari expressed her sadness at leaving the radio format and shared a heartfelt message thanking her longtime co-host Giorgio Lauro and the production team after approximately 2,000 episodes.
