Gerard Baker to discuss media pressures at Weekend. 19

The Weekend. 19 program will feature Gerard Baker, a veteran editor and columnist for The Wall Street Journal, to participate in a panel titled ‘The Press Under Pressure – Europe and the US’. The discussion will address the various pressures facing modern journalism, including political polarization, ownership, advertisers, and algorithms, as well as the declining public trust in institutions.

In addition to the media panel, the program includes a look behind the scenes of the ‘Croatia: I Hear It’s Beautiful’ campaign featuring John Malkovich, a discussion on the future of radio and the potential impact of DAB+ technology, and the story behind the creation of a film about Toše Proeski.
