Gerard Piqué reaffirms Champions League ambitions for FC Andorra

Gerard Piqué, the majority shareholder of FC Andorra, has reaffirmed his long-term ambition to see the club compete in the Champions League. Speaking at the Estadi Comunal de Andorra la Vella, Piqué noted that he is now in a life stage that allows him to dedicate more time to the project compared to when he was an active player.

The club is entering a new season in the Lliga Hypermotion with a significantly restructured squad. Following the sales of Josep Cerdà to Real Mallorca for €2.5 million and Dani Villahermosa to Real Oviedo for €1.1 million, the club has focused on new investments. Key additions include former Primera División goalkeeper Pau López, alongside several younger players from various international leagues.

While the club aims for stability following a volatile previous season, Piqué emphasized that the team’s ambitions have no ceiling, though he noted that setting specific playoff goals at this stage would be excessive.
