Gerardo Zamora enters Peronist presidential race

Gerardo Zamora has joined the list of Peronist presidential candidates, promising to secure the support of four Peronist governors and one member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR).

Zamora, who is recognized as a leader among northern governors, aims to bridge political divisions within Peronism. His candidacy emerges amid fragmentation caused by varying relationships between provincial governors and the national government, as well as tensions between figures like Cristina Kirchner and Axel Kicillof. Zamora reportedly possesses political connections that distinguish him from other frontrunners.

Other potential candidates in the race include Jorge Capitanich from Chaco and Ricardo Quintela from La Rioja. Quintela is actively organizing support, including a meeting with approximately 15 mayors from the Buenos Aires province.
