Gerhard Zeiler to receive 2026 International Emmy Directorate Award

Gerhard Zeiler, President of International at Warner Bros. Discovery, has been selected to receive the 2026 International Emmy Directorate Award. He will accept the honor at the 54th International Emmy Awards Gala on November 23, 2026, in New York City.

The award recognizes individuals or organizations for outstanding contributions to the arts and sciences of international television across sectors such as management, programming, and international relations. Zeiler is being honored for a career that includes leading major transformations in global television, including overseeing the international operations of Warner Bros. Discovery following the 2022 merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery.

His professional history includes expanding the HBO Max footprint to over 130 countries, serving as CEO of RTL, and holding leadership roles at Turner Broadcasting System and Austria’s public broadcaster, ORF.
