Gerik police arrest three men for excavator theft in Lenggong

Police in Gerik have detained three local men suspected of stealing an excavator from Kampung Sumpitan, Lenggong. The arrests were made during two separate raids conducted on Tuesday.

The suspects, aged 29, 34, and 66, were apprehended in Ipoh and Gerik. Authorities recovered a Mitsubishi ES110 excavator and a mobile phone believed to be linked to the crime.

Initial investigations suggest the first suspect stole the machinery, while the second suspect is a heavy machinery spare parts operator. The third suspect was allegedly tasked with transporting the excavator to Ipoh using a loader truck. The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
