A survey conducted by the Indonesian Election Study Institute (LKPI) between September 8 and 20, 2026, reveals diverse political preferences ahead of the 2029 elections. The Gerindra Party currently leads with an electability rate of 17.3 percent, followed closely by PDI Perjuangan at 16.8 percent.

Other parties recorded in the survey include NasDem at 7.3 percent, PKB at 6.2 percent, Golkar at 6.1 percent, PKS at 5.5 percent, PAN at 4.3 percent, PSI at 4.3 percent, and the Democratic Party at 4.1 percent. A group of non-parliamentary parties accounted for 5.6 percent.

Researcher Irwan Ardiansyah noted that 22.5 percent of respondents did not provide an answer, indicating a significant portion of the electorate has yet to decide on a political party. The survey involved 1,246 respondents across 36 provinces using multistage random sampling with a margin of error of approximately 3.1 percent.
