Gerindra official promotes urban farming and cultural spaces in Surabaya

Yona Bagus Widyatmoko, Treasurer of the Gerindra Party Surabaya branch, is advocating for several community-focused initiatives in Surabaya. To support President Prabowo Subianto’s ‘ASRI’ movement (Aman, Sehat, Resik, Indah), Widyatmoko is promoting household waste management and urban farming. This includes distributing hundreds of composter bins to residents to convert organic waste into fertilizer for productive residential gardening.

Additionally, following a large-scale traditional music performance in Gunungsari Indah, Widyatmoko is urging the Surabaya City Government to simplify the use of public facilities for cultural and economic activities. He argues that easing permits for public spaces to host arts and cultural events can strengthen social cohesion and provide economic opportunities for local MSMEs and small vendors.
