German accordion concerts highlight diverse music in Berlin and Bückeburg

A free concert by the accordion ensemble Accordanza will take place on 20 August 2026 at the Forum Steglitz in Berlin. The five‑member group will present a varied programme ranging from baroque transcriptions and original accordion works to tango nuevo, ragtime and Italian tarantella, as part of the exhibition “600 Akkordeons. Eure Geschichten. Unser Berlin”.

Another free event is scheduled for 12 August 2026 in the Stadtkirche of Bückeburg. The duo “Sing Your Soul”, featuring accordionist Meike Salzmann and clarinetist Ulrich Lehna, will perform the programme “Accordeon, Accordeon – the moving history of the instrument of the year”, celebrating the accordion’s selection as 2026 Instrument of the Year. Both concerts aim to showcase the instrument’s versatility and cultural relevance across Germany.
