German activists hold events for women's and girls' rights
Various activism events in Germany have focused on women's and girls' rights. In Göttingen, an International Women's Day initiative involved distributing 141 solidarity postcards to support women facing unjust imprisonment or the death penalty globally. Targeted cases included activists in Iran, Turkey, Belarus, Cuba, El Salvador, and Pakistan.
In Wiesbaden and Mainz, an action march for the International Day of the Girl Child was organized under the motto ‘Free like a cloud’. The march aimed to promote equal opportunities, self-determination, and social participation for girls and young women, featuring banners and creative messages created in local youth facilities.
