German amateur clubs fight promotion and relegation on final matchday
Local German football clubs entered the final round of their season in the 1. Kreisklasse Staffel A and Kreisliga A, each battling for the last promotion places and to avoid dropping into a lower division. In the Kreisklasse, SV Emmerke needed points to escape the bottom, while TuS GW Himmelsthür II and VfR Germania Ochtersum II aimed to secure a top‑four finish. SSV Förste faced SV Bavenstedt II, who entered the match on a nine‑goal winning streak, and TuS Hoheneggelsen tried to salvage pride against SC Harsum II. Meanwhile, SV 47 Mutscheid organized a synchronized final matchday for the men’s and women’s teams, adjusting kickoff times so that the SV Schöneseiffen vs TuS Vernich 1927 derby could determine which side stays in Kreisliga A and which is relegated to Kreisliga B. The day concluded with a communal gathering at the Hardtbrücke to celebrate the season.
