German Ambassador meets youth groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina

German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alfred Grannas, has been traveling across the country to meet with youth representatives in various regions, including Prijedor and Brčko. The meetings aim to provide the ambassador with a perspective on life outside the capital, Sarajevo, by hearing directly from young people about their ambitions, challenges, and ideas for local development.

In Prijedor, members of the Youth Council presented their ideas for community growth and expressed interest in future cooperation with Germany. In Brčko, discussions focused on the need for better employment opportunities, improved social life, and more dynamic activities for young citizens. Local youth representatives emphasized the importance of being heard by authorities to encourage them to remain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ahead of the upcoming elections on October 4, Ambassador Grannas urged eligible young voters to participate, stating that “your voice can change something.” He noted that the feedback from these discussions highlights a necessity for government leaders to better address logical demands regarding employment and quality of social life.
