German and Polish students participate in educational exchange

German and Polish students participated in an educational exchange program focused on democracy and civic education. Supported by the Lower Saxony State Chancellery, students from Germany visited Leszno, Poland, to engage with their counterparts at the Nikolaus-Kopernikus-Gymnasium.

The program included lectures on political education and a debate regarding whether civic education is the most effective tool for protecting democracies from non-democratic regimes. Participants also compared their respective school systems, discussing differences in communication, digital literacy, and teaching methods, such as the prevalence of group work in Germany versus written assessments in Poland.
