German art exhibitions feature diverse material-based works

In Worpswede, the artist group "material girls" is presenting an exhibition titled "material girls für Paula" at the Galerie Altes Rathaus from August 16 to September 27, 2026. The group, founded by Ulrike Brockmann, engages in a contemporary dialogue with the work of Paula Modersohn-Becker. Their works utilize material as a central conceptual foundation, exploring themes such as time, cosmic phenomena, and socio-political discourses through diverse mediums including light-emitting objects and digital software.
