German art exhibitions launch in July 2026

The Werkschau of the KuKuK‑Kunsttage opens on Saturday, 18 July 2026 at 15:00 in the KuKuK‑Kunsthalle in Gießen. The exhibition showcases works by almost three dozen participants who created pieces between 10 July and 14 July, using media such as watercolor, collage, acrylic, oil pastels, linocut‑style high‑pressure printing on styrofoam, and experimental photography. The show runs through Sunday, 19 July, with additional viewings the following weekend.

Meanwhile, the Kunstmuseum Bayreuth presents the interdisciplinary exhibition “Eigenkunstwerk” in the exhibition hall of the New Town Hall from 22 July 2026 to 22 August 2026. Developed with the collective “Roams”, the program combines sculpture, sound, performance and video, inviting visitors to participate in ongoing performances that transform the wooden acoustic space. The opening performance “Exposition” takes place on 22 July at 19:30, with further events including a poetry performance on 12 August and a finissage on 22 August. Admission is free.
