German art institutions host exhibitions and workshops focused on paper
Various art institutions in Germany are hosting exhibitions and workshops centered on the medium of paper.
The Villa Zanders art museum is presenting ‘Paper Minds’, an exhibition featuring concrete art on paper from the 1960s to the 1980s. Curated by Ina Dinter and Wibke Müller, the showcase contrasts historical works with pieces from 25 contemporary artists. The exhibition explores geometric forms, light, and spatial relationships through the works of artists such as Ryszard Winiorski and Erwin Heerich.
In Berlin, the Haus des Papiers is hosting a workshop led by Linnea Zimmermann as part of the German Sustainability Action Days. The session, titled ‘Tauchgang Papier’, focuses on creating collaged water worlds using recycled paper and found materials. The initiative aims to raise awareness regarding the environmental impact of paper production and the creative potential of reusing everyday waste.
