German Autobahn Accidents Disrupt A6 and A7 Traffic

A truck on the A6 near Altdorf and Leinburg in Bavaria crashed into a central guardrail, causing the highway to be closed in both directions and traffic to be diverted onto a single lane. Police said the vehicle, loaded with earth and stones, left the road and broke through the barrier, with cleanup work still ongoing.

On the A7 near Kaltenkirchen in Schleswig‑Holstein, a car collided with the rear of a lorry in dense fog. Two occupants of the car suffered light injuries and were taken to hospital, while the lorry driver was unharmed. The accident created a kilometre‑long traffic jam, and the motorway was temporarily reduced to one lane before traffic resumed.

Both incidents resulted in temporary road closures, detours and minor injuries, highlighting the impact of vehicle accidents on German highway traffic.
