German ballroom dancing championships held in Barsinghausen and Wiesbaden

Several regional ballroom dancing championships took place in Germany on September 13, 2026.

In Barsinghausen, the Senioren III S Standard state championships featured 43 couples from the northern states. Representing Club Saltatio Hamburg e. V., Tilo and Barbara Kornak secured the silver medal as Hamburg vice-champions, while Jörg and Sabine Markmann earned the bronze medal.

In Wiesbaden, TC Blau-Orange Wiesbaden hosted the Hessian championships for various categories. In the Senioren V S-Standard class, Herbert and Erika Frieß from Biebergemünd won the state title. The runners-up were Johann-Georg and Brigitte Salten, with Franz-Josef and Lioba Kirchhoff taking third place. While most categories saw strong participation, the U21 Standard competition was canceled due to a lack of entries.
