German band The Night Eternal releases new single “The Veins Of Time” ahead of album Cold Velvet

The Night Eternal, a German melancholic heavy‑metal outfit, has issued a new single titled “The Veins Of Time” along with an official video. The track opens the B‑side of the band’s forthcoming debut on Metal Blade Records, the album Cold Velvet, scheduled for release on 21 August 2025. Recorded between May and December 2025 at Church Of Sound Studios in the Munich area, the album was produced, recorded and mixed by guitarist‑producer Michael Zech, known for work with black‑metal acts such as Secrets Of The Moon and Triptykon. The band describes the collaboration as a deep artistic partnership that shaped the album’s dark, dream‑like sound. The single features lead vocals by Ricardo Baum and a prominent guitar solo by Rob Richter, blending post‑punk‑infused goth intro with heavy‑rock momentum.

Cold Velvet is positioned as a distinct sub‑genre effort, combining hypnotic rhythms, mesmeric riffs and catchy choruses to deliver a “relentless surge of dark energy.” The release marks the band’s first full‑length record and aims to expand their presence in the international metal scene.
