German banks launch new promotional interest rates for savings accounts

German financial institutions are introducing new promotional interest rates for call money accounts (Tagesgeld).

ADAC Finanzdienste GmbH, in partnership with Solaris, will launch a call money account for ADAC credit cardholders starting in October 2026. The offer includes an introductory promotional interest rate of 3.50% per annum for the first three months, followed by a variable standard rate of currently 1.50% per annum for deposits up to 100,000 euros. The account will be managed digitally and allow for daily availability of funds.

Separately, Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) has announced a promotional campaign for private customers. Between October 6 and October 20, 2026, customers who transfer new funds from another bank to DKB can access a 4.0% annual interest rate for four months. This promotional rate applies to new deposits up to 100,000 euros and will run from November 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027.
