German board game publishers announce upcoming releases

Several German board game publishers are preparing new releases and expansions for the upcoming season.

SPIEL DAS! Verlag reports growth following the success of 'Panda Royale' and continues to focus on discovering new talent through its ninth youth author meeting. The publisher noted that the industry currently faces challenges regarding rising production and transport costs.

PD Verlag, based in Hamburg, has announced several titles for Autumn 2026. These include 'Concordia Mare Nostrum', an expansion for the Concordia series that introduces maritime-based settlement mechanics, and 'Das Violette Schwert', a cooperative puzzle game that combines escape room elements with audio plays set on a cruise ship traveling from Marseille to Rio de Janeiro.
